Christmas

Advent & Christmas are nearly upon us! Resources and details about our Christmas planning for midweek, Sundays & seasonal specials in the year ahead.

Our usual weekly Sunday pattern continues in our three congregation patterns: 0830 at St Paul's, 1030 at St Peter's and from 0930 onwards Online via either Facebook or Youtube.

For the five weeks of Advent from Sunday 28th November through to 26th December, we will explore the angelic interruptions, which are messages for all-time and our time, rooted in Lukes gospel record! Here’s the short resource that is designed to resource life group and for personal use, and a Spotify Advent playlist. And post your stories and seasonal takeaways on your social media using this hashtag link: #AtTheHeartOfChristmas

The Christmas season is a delight for our networks, friends and family. All are invited! This printed Christmas card is being shared with all the homes in our communities. All are welcome! Pray, plan & invite others…

Regrettably, our 12th December Contemporary Carol Service at St Peter’s is cancelled due to team members being affected by Covid 19. Please do wear a face mask and use the provided hand sanitiser as you join us in either of our church buildings. Updates on any changes will be reflected in this link in light of Plan-B government restrictions. Sadly all our refreshments will be paused until early in the New Year as a precaution.

Following the government's further announcements with much-increased cases across the UK, along with other regional indicators and the direction of travel for transmission at present, we have sadly decided to reduce our Christmas services to a minimum in order to be able to be responsible and protective of our congregation and community. Having sampled the views of some of our leaders and the attendance possibilities with some of our life groups, the desire for attendance over the Christmas season was very limited. The lack of ventilation at St. Paul's means that inviting many people into the building would be inadvisable. Therefore, we will be reducing our public worship gatherings to only our normal 8.30am Communion Service at St. Paul's and 10.30am at St. Peter's on Sunday 19th and Christmas Day.

While we appreciate the disappointment, we want to be responsible community members now and into the future, with the witness to all vital in this all. There will be online input dotted throughout the Christmas season and beyond, and we hope you can join us on the 19th, 25th December and restart back on the 2nd January in person.
