God never said!

Our culture messages so very many things even before we get to the mid-morning cuppa! The enduring truth, revelation and character of God has never felt so much under attack.

It feels that our spirits could droop, and our hearts be heavy. Yet God’s word resources us with promises we can stand on. God’s character, His word and promises are forever true! So following on from our series in 1 Corinthians, we’re going to chew over some big truths that God never said! A sort of CS Lewis Screwtape contrast view. God never said… you’re on your own, its impossible, look out for number one, or compare yourself or that it would be easy! We’ll root our thinking in God’s word with lots of life application and here’s the link resource for personal and life group use.

So in this theme based series across eleven sessions we’ll pick out core truths and vital reasons for our naturally supernatural faith as defined by God’s word, not the fickleness and changeable ways of our culture! The promises of God are enduring and true. They’re not just lines from an old book but are for the good of our lives and all eternity. They tend to our truest selves, offer tenderness from the lover of our souls, and anchors us in tempestous times.

Our goal in this series our growing confidence, equipping and renewed sight of God in our gathered lives for our scattered days as we show and share Jesus wherever we are! As a contemporary songwriter pens it: “nothing is too difficult for the healing hand of God!”
