Prayer

Maybe the most challenging thing about faith is the ordinary, faithful, and everyday. In our wider commitment to renewal in our next series, over eight segments in Sunday life from the 8th of January till the 26th of February 2023, we’ll be exploring prayer: 0830 at St Paul’s and 1030 at St Peter’s, as well as the support in this resource for personal and life group reflection. Prayer is the life breath of the believer, but so very often, we can feel frustrated in this area of our lives.

This sermon series was inspired by and is accompanied by ‘The Prayer Course’ by Pete Greig from 24/7 Prayer organisation. We’ll root this all in The Lord’s Prayer as captured in Luke 11:1-4 or Matthew 6:9-13.

Encouragingly, the one thing that the disciples explicitly asked Jesus to teach them was how to pray. Imagine more intimacy, connection, and joy in your life with Jesus. And so we will learn about and revisit the delight, power, and purpose of prayer.
