APCM 2022

All are welcome at our APCM at St Peter’s at noon on Sunday 22nd May. Whether you are very familiar with the traditional way of the parish church conducting its business or you are new to church life, the Annual Parish Church Mtg (APCM) over the last couple of years looked and felt very different as we navigated the restrictions well for the honour of God and the progress of faith in our community. Thankfully, this year we can meet in person without limiting numbers or some having to participate by Zoom in a hybrid fashion, as previously.

The APCM is the opportunity for our church family to receive reports on church activities and financial statements for the last year and make plans for 2022/23. We also elect people to key positions – two churchwardens and three vacancies on the Parochial Church Council (PCC), our local church governing body.

We have so much to be thankful for. Despite the pandemic, the church has continued to flourish, with our life and witness in the parish expanding in so many ways. Our ‘online’ services and community support during the pandemic, the resumption of christenings, weddings and funerals at St Paul’s and the completion of the Annexe, and the recent opening of the café have enabled us to serve so many more people than ever before. As we emerge from a period of uncertainty, we now look to the future as we take advantage of many new opportunities and challenges, particularly as we work with children and families, seniors and worship ministries. We look forward to sharing this vision in more detail and hope you can join us.  Here are the associated reports for our parish life:
