David

The Psalmist David is a blisteringly unavoidable Old Testament character with much to teach us across the generations in his challenges, loves, struggles, & service in God’s world. It has been said that no other character in the Bible resonates with most people like that of David. He is a man of great contrast, who shows moments of greatness mixed with moments of the ordinary, of courage and valour but also fear, who walked in fellowship with God, but also at the mercy of the devil. He was an ordinary man but also an extraordinary saint. In David, we have the distillation of what it is to seek to love and serve God. We’re going to be with him across some of the weeks this summer…

Here’s the series link to this gift and example of David for us all: with print copies available from St Peter’s or St Paul’s or the church office.
