Prophets & prophecy

All of scripture is a gift for us. Then for now. Past for the present. The present transforming the future. As Christians, we believe in the continuing voice of God. We’re spending eight weeks in the company of four of the major prophets and four of the minor ones! We could spend months in each of these but want to excite our lives and hearts for more of the big story of God.

Prophecy, as an early Christian phenomenon, is understood as a divinely appointed speech-act that addresses people in the interest of edifying the church. The active speaking voice of God so that we are acitve & responding to the leading of the Holy Spirit. There is much for us to grow in the lively active work of God’s Spirit in our lives. We’re going to explore these eight prophets and the associated challenge for us in Summer 2024, across our 0830, 1030 & Lifegroups in particular.
