Faculty permissions

As a local parish church as part of the Church of England, within Rochester Diocese, we are seeking a faculty for a schedule of works or proposals as detailed below:

To enter into a Licence under Faculty with the formation of a CIC wholly owned by the PCC to operate the Community Cafe, in the fulfilment of the prior Faculty 2199. for the purpose of the company's activities will provide benefit to all members of the community in and around Hextable, Kent (including the local church and wider community) with the aim of providing space for community use and building a more cohesive and socially inclusive community.

This structure is proposed to better promote and improve the relationship between the local church and the wider community, in the fulfilment of the values of creativity, hospitality and welcome.

This is reflected in our CIC36 paperwork and in the Companies House form INO1 which are pending. We believe there are no structural or financial implications from the proposal of forming a CIC, and this CIC request mirrors the local SDC planning permissions for the operation of a cafe substantially in accordance with the draft Licence submitted.
